Description
This advanced piston is designed to significantly reduce stress transmitted from the gear rack to the piston body. This makes the whole piston substantially more resistant and reliable than a standard piston, offering great long-term performance.
Carbon fibre reinforced technopolymer with an added elastomer provides exceptional mechanical strength combined with a very low friction coefficient, meaning less energy loss and faster cycling.
The robust gear rack is manufactured using Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) technology. This precise production process guarantees dimensional accuracy and strength comparable to solid machining, ensuring a perfect, dependable fit every time.
The reinforced rack features the second tooth removed and the third tooth pre-lowered by 0.3mm. This configuration instantly corrects the Angle of Engagement (AOE), making the piston inherently suitable for high-speed and high-stress builds.
The injected metal alloy is SAE 4650 combined with a robust HRC38-42 hardening treatment. This is currently the highest-rated material available for this application, guaranteeing class-leading durability under rapid firing conditions.
The sliding guides are meticulously engineered to minimise friction and effectively retain lubrication over extended periods, contributing to consistent performance and reduced wear.
Unique internal ribs reduce the contact surface between the spring and the piston body. This dramatically lowers friction during spring compression and decompression cycles, leading to smoother operation and increased rate of fire.
